Just Some Stuff

I'm glad that the pop quiz wasn't difficult I need something to help boost my grade in there. I actually really liked are discussions in class last night. That guy in the back is another story. The redneck was telling Kim to shut up, and I don't think she realized he was either. I'm sorry that you got into a car accident but that doesn't mean you need to take your problems out on other people. Plus I assume it was his own fault. He was probably out drinking or with his buddies who where drunk. Why else would he not be able to leave the state. I don't know if he makes up a lot of it for attention or if he's actually telling the truth. If I wasn't such a skinny and non muscular person I might have just the nerve to tell his retarded ass to shut the fuck up.

"Things To Consider Before Voting in the Presidential Election"

First off, you need to be an informed voter. Learn about your candidate and don't just take him or her for face value. What they say and what they do could be two different things. To become an informed voter, look at your candidates voting record. It is important because it will show you what type of person they are and if they represent what's important to you. Also realize that in an election year all of the candidates can promise you the world, but inevitably they need money to do the things that they promise. If you already have a job you'll realize that this money comes from you as the taxpayers of this nation, and more programs mean more taxes that you have to pay. My mom does taxes and one of the couples she did them for earned $140,000 dollars last year. They had to pay the government $25,000 dollars out of this in taxes. When you receive your paycheck you can see how much is taken by the government. Consider this as another incentive to know whether or not your candidate is for or against tax increases because that's money out of your pocket. Do research about your candidate's past before you believe what they tell you in the present. In the end, vote like your life depends on it because it does especially in today's world where we constantly face threats from terrorists, other countries such as Iran, North Korea, China, Venezuela and many others. We need a commander in chief that can deal with these issues and all of the pressing issues of our time. To learn about your candidate is easy. Just use a computer and the Internet and if you search in the right areas you can find all of the information you'll need to base your decision.

"In the quest for knowledge"

So today in upward bound I learned about what classes I still needed to take to obtain an associates in science. I was surprised to learn that I have alround 32 credits and that I am half way there. I plan on having around 50 credits by graduation next year. That way I only have to be at Rend Lake for a year. Then I'm going to move on to SIUC to get some of my general studies classes out of the way. My plan after that is to try and get into medical school at SIUS in springfield. If I can't get in there I would like to go to U of I or a northern college maybe somewhere close to Chicago. I still have a ways to go but I plan to continue on and better myself. Its a tough road but I plan to stick with it. Don't let things hold you back. Even if you don't have the most money or the best of life now. What you do when you leave home is your choice. You can continue a cycle that causes yuou to end up where your parents are or you can rise above it and make something of yourself. Tommorrow is my grandma's funeral and the last thing she said while I saw her was that she had some really beautiful grand children. I will miss my grandma but she is in a better place with her husband. I'm glad that she doesn't have to suffer anymore. Well thats all I really have to say see you tommorrow or maybe in another life.

Please read more facts against abortion before you give an opinion you can't back up!

Maternal death, or maternal mortality, also "obstetrical death" is the death of a woman during or shortly after a pregnancy. In 2000, the United Nations estimated global maternal mortality at less than 1% occurred in the developed world. "This includes most of north america, austrailia, europe and japan." However most of these deaths could have been medically preventable because treatments to avoid such deaths have been well known since the 1950s. That ratio is at 1 in 100,000 in deaths for matrnal mortality. In fact the leading cause in deaths of pregnant women is murder. There are many instances in the case of rape that drugs are avaliable to prevent the women from becoming pregnant. Also by going to the hospital after a rape to report it the women can have pregnancy prevented through other measures. Arguments in support of abortion are bogus and the statistics are there to back up this claim. The man should have the right to know if his girlfriend is going to have an abortion. Because it takes 2 to tango and the girls don't have a problem with demanding support from the boyfriend if they do choose to have it such as child support. Also tax dollars are used to fund abortions. If you read your bible or go to church or profess to be a christian you would not support abortion which destroys gods creation. I myself have morals and therefore do not support killing other human beings. It doesn't send a positive message when a society supports not killing animals but can support killing babies.

Arguments against abortion!

Since life begins at conception, abortion is akin to murder as it is the act of taking human life. Abortion is in direct defiance of the commonly accepted idea of the sanctity of human life No civilized society permits one human to intentionally harm or take the life of another human without punishment, and abortion is no different.
Adoption is a viable alternative to abortion and accomplishes the same result. And with 1.5 million American families wanting to adopt a child, there is no such thing as an unwanted child. An abortion can result in medical complications later in life; the risk of ectopic pregnancies doubles, and the chance of a miscarriage and Pelvic Inflammatory Disease also increases.
In the instance of rape and incest, proper medical care can ensure that a woman will not get pregnant.
Abortion punishes the unborn child who committed no crime; instead, it is the perpetrator who should be punished.
Abortion should not be used as another form of contraception.
For women who demand complete control of their body, control should include preventing the risk of unwanted pregnancy through the responsible use of contraception or, if that is not possible, through abstinence.
Many Americans who pay taxes are opposed to abortion, therefore it’s morally wrong to use tax dollars to fund abortion.
Those who choose abortions are often minors or young women with insufficient life experience to understand fully what they are doing. Many have lifelong regrets afterwards.
Abortion frequently causes intense psychological pain and stress.
